DITL Saturday

Our Saturdays always begin with a trip to the local Farmer's market. I did happen to find a teeny-weenie Christmas cactus. A friend of mine has one, and when grown, they are quite beautiful. While roaming through the plants and veggies, the sweet smell of fresh bread and donuts lingers about. It takes quite a bit of strength to fight the urge, so we don't even try :)

The kids signed up for the summer reading program at the library and we usually stop in once a week to record the hours read/book titles. This is a great incentive to keep kids reading during the summer months. Kathy, the librarian also did the weekly drawing and Chalire won this puzzle. Pretty cool.

Did I mention she let the girls do the actual drawing?

This kid always has a pencil in his hand or in his ear. He really enjoys drawing situations. Not simple objects, but very complex situations. Fun, fun, fun.

Oh, and look! Mary won a t-shirt! Al seems to win one every year so Mary thought this was very cool.

Next, it's off to art class. We have an amazing opportunity through our local arts coop. The kids are offered six hours a week-

and baseball....

then off to the beach for a couple hours. There was no camera man......zzzzz.

And last but not least, the reptile show at our local state park.

Brave, brave souls.

I didn't hear a sound until after 9:00 this morning.
