I found the most amazing American history book for the kids. It is written by Howard Zinn-you may be familiar with his work. The kids and I are reading history from the views of the slaves, workers, immigrants, women, and Native Americans and also from a viewpoint which is critical of war, racism, and economic injustice. I suggest EVERY parent read this aloud.
